It started with a good report that did nothing.
Throughline exists because of a personality assessment that was genuinely insightful — and completely useless three days later.

The report was about one person. The questions were about two.
In 2026, our founder Ben took a well-regarded workplace personality assessment. The report was good — accurate, even a little uncomfortable in the way good ones are. And then it did what every personality report does: it became a PDF in a folder, and life went on exactly as before.
The science was fine. The problem was that the report described one person, on one day, and the questions he actually had three weeks later were all about two people right now: how to open a conversation with someone who had gone quiet, and why two of his best people kept grinding against each other in every review.
By then he was already drafting most difficult messages in an assistant. It was a good writer and it knew nothing about the person on the other end, so its advice was the same advice it would give anyone.
So Throughline measures your team’s working styles properly, then hands them to the assistant you already write in. The insight arrives while you’re still deciding what to say.
Why it’s called Throughline.
A throughline is the thread that connects the scenes of a story — the thing that makes separate moments make sense together.
A working style does the same job in a person. It’s the part that holds steady across a good week and a bad one, and it’s what lets you predict how someone will take news before you’ve given it to them.
Four things we won’t compromise.
Science first.
Measurement built on the Big Five's public-domain research items, with working styles and the Enneagram alongside so no result stands alone. When popular and rigorous conflict, we pick rigorous — and present it warmly.
Consent first.
Teams opt in together, sharing runs both ways, and colleagues only ever see the summary you chose to share. Someone who declines costs you nothing and gets no shadow profile.
In the flow of work.
No new dashboard to visit. Throughline lives inside the assistant where work already happens, and shows up only when a question involves people.
Honest about limits.
Style is not ability. Throughline refuses performance, promotion and hiring questions — and every claim carries a label saying what it stands on.
Built by an operator, for teams like his.
Throughline is built by Ben, a founder and operator who has spent his career inside small, fast-moving teams — running his own businesses, advising others through his consultancy, and living every one of the people-questions this product answers.
It’s tested on real teams taking real assessments, graded against answers written down in advance. Three times so far the results have disagreed with the design, and the design changed.

See whether it would help your team.
Bring your five trickiest people-questions to a twenty-minute demo. If it can't answer them better than a PDF, don't buy it.
