Throughline

A good assessment inside a delivery model from 2006.

Everything DiSC is the better choice for a formal development programme with an accredited facilitator; Throughline is the better choice if the value has to survive past the workshop day. The assessment quality is not the difference — established DiSC instruments are well built and their reliability figures are respectable.

  • Accurate as of 23 August 2026
  • Their wins listed first

We are not going to argue that Everything DiSC is a bad assessment, because it is not. It is a well-constructed instrument with decades of use behind it and a serious facilitator network. Our argument is entirely about what happens after the report is printed.

What differs is everything around the assessment: how you buy it, who is allowed to take part, and whether there is any way to ask how the profile applies to the message you are writing right now.

What they do better than us.

A real facilitation programme

Structured curriculum, trained practitioners, materials designed to be used in a room with people. If your L&D function wants that, buy it — we do not do it at all and would not do it well.

Organisational familiarity

Many organisations already speak DiSC. Adopting the same instrument they have used for a decade removes a change-management problem that is genuinely expensive.

Decades of use

A very large body of practice, published research and practitioner experience sits behind it. We have a fraction of that.

A day that people remember

A good facilitator running a good session produces shared experience we cannot replicate in software, and should not try to.

The differences that actually decide it.

Observed from Everything DiSC’s own public material as of 23 August 2026. We repeat no pricing or statistic we haven’t verified directly.

What we do that they don’t.

The scores stay attached, and they're cross-checked

Everything DiSC gives you a style and a report. Throughline keeps the scores behind the style, runs the Big Five and the Enneagram alongside it, and shows where they agree and where they don't — so one result never has to carry the whole picture.

Re-testing is free, so people actually do it

A per-assessment price makes accuracy expensive. Personality drifts, roles change, and a profile taken during a reorganisation reads differently a year later. Charging for that is charging for the truth.

No certification gate

A programme that requires a trained practitioner before anyone can read their own team’s results has put a person between the manager and the insight. Ours explains itself in plain English, in the assistant.

It survives the workshop

The most common thing we hear is that the last programme was excellent and changed nothing by month two. Being inside the tool where the work already happens is the only answer to that we have found.

Which one you should actually buy.
